The Adams-Onís Treaty was signed in February of 1819. It was negotiated by Secretary of State John Quincy Adams and the Spanish Minister to the Unites States, Don Luis de Onís. It was between the United States and Spain. The treaty established the aquisition of Florida by the United States and the boundary line between Spanish territory and the U.S.
